LOCATION: Ottawa Municipal Campground,
411 Corkstown Rd. Nepean, ON

Take the Queensway to Moodie exit, to Corkstown Road, which runs parallel to the Queensway on the northern side.



ADMISSIONS: *Children under 13 & Elders/Seniors
(65 & up) get in FREE all weekend*


Weekend passes: $20.00 for Adults (18 & up)
$10.00 for Teens (13-17)
GOOD FOR ALL WEEKEND (FRIDAY-SUNDAY)

Daily Rates:
Friday
Adults (18 & up): $5.00 (includes parking).
Teens (13-17): $3.00

Saturday & Sunday
Adults (18 & up): $12.00 per day (includes parking)
Teens (13-17) $6.00 per day

 

CAMPING: $30 per night; $60 for the weekend.

 

VENDORS: Please have your vendor applications filled out and paid by Friday May 18th, 2007.

CRAFT VENDORS: $250/weekend

?: Where is the Pow Wow?

?: Rain Out Location?
A: There is no rain out location, this event is "rain or shine". A large tent will be setup in case it does rain.

?: Who is the host drum and what's the prize money?
A: There's NO host drum, open competition, prize money to be determined.

?: Where and when should I pay for camping?
A: When you arrive, pay at the Pow Wow Camping Booth ($30 per night, $60 for the weekend).

?: When is Grand Entry?
A: Gra
nd Entry is set for 6pm on Friday May 25th, 12 noon & 6pm on May 26th and 12 noon on May 27th.

?: Is there a host hotel for the Pow Wow?
A: There is NO host hotel. Book hotel/motel in Kanata area (Richmond Rd., Moodie Dr.).

?: I would like to inquire about registering as a vendor.
A: Please read our vendor application forms found on the left hand side of this page. Prices are as follows:
Craft Table: $250 (for the weekend)
Food Vendor: $350 (for the weekend).

?: What kind of arts & crafts can I purchase there?
A: Hand made crafts such as carvings, dreamcatchers, jewellery etc. You can also find paintings, clothing
, decals & many other expressions of Native culture.
Prices for the public to purchase items are set individually by each vendor.

?: What kind of food can I find there?
A: Lots of wild meats such as Moose, Cariboo, Deer, Buffalo etc.
Walleye, Arctic Char
, wild rice & "Indian Tacos" are popular as well. Each vendor brings their own recipies so menu items change slightly from year to year.

?: What is prohibited at this event?
A: Drugs, alcohol & pets (guide dogs allowed).

?: Is this event wheelchair accessible?
A: Yes but since it is held outside at the Ottawa Campground, the ground conditions may pose a bit of a challenge on mobility.

?: Are non-native people welcome to attend?
A: YES! Everyone is welcome!
